This development enjoys a prominent location at one of the main gateways in to Nottingham City Centre. The building is based on a light gauge steel frame structure (LGSF) which offers improved programme certainty and is less dependent on favourable weather conditions as the structure is substantially weather proof as each floor is erected. The lightweight construction system means that foundation loads and sizes are reduced by over 70% relative to concrete and block construction and productivity and speed of construction is increased by over 30% which reduces the impact on site. Site waste is vastly reduced and the embodied carbon in the building fabric is reduced by up to 20%. The completed development will provide 91 apartments, together with car parking and leisure and amenity facilities for the residents.
